South Bristol board dives into Everwilde impact

The South Bristol Town Board began Monday the task of producing the final document that will address all environmental issues surrounding the proposed Everwilde Inn & Spa.

“This is the first step of several to develop the Final Environmental Impact Statement,” said Kathy Spencer, principal environmental analyst with consultant LaBella Associates, who led what will be the first of many workshops.

Under review are 300 public comments about the controversial plan for 45.7 acres of vacant land on Seneca Point Road over Canandaigua Lake. The comments fill 650 pages. Spencer said all comments have been read multiple times and shared with developers.

Property owner Laura Cook and others on the development team attended the workshop that filled the Town Board meeting room with residents eager to stay informed.
