State Sen. John DeFrancisco, a potential Republican candidate for governor, still has the largest campaign war chest among members of Cayuga County’s state legislative delegation.
Between his two campaign accounts, Citizens for DeFrancisco and DeFrancisco Re-Election Committee, the Syracuse Republican raised $116,797 over the last six months, according to his latest financial reports submitted to the state Board of Elections.
When the closing balances for the committees are combined, DeFrancisco has $1.45 million in the bank.
While DeFrancisco has the most cash on hand, state Sen. Jim Seward had the best haul during the most recent fundraising period. He reported receipts totaling $125,881.61. His campaign’s closing balance was $395,370.27.
