Under construction is a new building for Canandaigua Medical Group. The 44,000-square-foot structure will replace the existing building built in 1970 at 335 Parrish St.
The project coincides with plans for the medical group to come under ownership of Thompson Health. Thompson and the medical group already share many of the same patients who early next year should be enjoying the new building and benefits that come with it.
“The building progress is on schedule, and the hospital and the group are looking forward to its completion,” said Kurt Koczent, Thompson Health executive vice president/chief operations officer.
The $19.8 million project involves the new building across from THE hospital on Parrish Street, additional parking space, upgraded technology and a streamlining of medical records to help patients receiving medical care at Thompson.
