Police: Seneca Falls woman was too intoxicated to care for five children

On Saturday around 1:06 am members of the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a town resident on child endangerment charges following a call by one of her children to law enforcement.

Police say Ashley R. Morrison, 29, was charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of obstructing governmental administration.

They were called to the residence by a juvenile in the home as he was scared that Morrison was highly-intoxicated and unable to care for the five children in the home.

Upon arrival, Morrison failed to comply with police during the investigation and was subsequently arrested. She was arraigned in Seneca Falls Town Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 secured bond.

She will appear in Seneca Falls Town Court on February 14th.

The children in the home ranged from 1-month to 9-years-old. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the children.
