Auburn man already on probation charged with felony drug possession

An Auburn man charged with a felony drug crime has been participating in drug court in connection with a previous drug charge, police said.

Nathan W.H. Smith, 26, of 39 West St., Apt. 3, Auburn, was arrested Monday and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to a news release from the Auburn Police Department.

A search warrant was executed at 39 West St. by members of the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force, with assistance from the Auburn Police Department, as well as the Army National Guard Counter Drug Task Force on Monday, police said, and 23.7 grams of marijuana, prescription medication, and more than $2,900 in cash were recovered.
