Challenges await Ontario County in ’18, but so does opportunity

Coming off a lengthy list of successes last year and opportunities heading into the new year, Ontario County Board of Supervisors Chairman Jack Marren said he is “extremely optimistic” about the county for 2018.

Marren, who also is Victor town supervisor, offered his take on the year ahead during his State of the County address before supervisors Thursday night.

“We know we have something special here,” said Marren, highlighting housing growth in the towns of Victor, Farmington and Canandaigua.

This year, the county will continue to invest in infrastructure, much as it has in the past.
