Galen woman faces drug charges after concerned citizen reports ‘suspicious’ condition

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Galen woman on drug charges following the report of a suspicious condition.

Deputies were called for a suspicious condition of a woman parked in the Tops Market parking lot in the Town of Lyons that was observed utilizing a hypodermic needle by a concerned citizen.

The operator and vehicle left the scene before patrol arrived, but she was later located in the vehicle on Sunderville Road in the Town of Galen.

Deputies identified the operator and sole occupant to be Jennifer D. Fasano, 34, and through investigation determined she was in possession of five hypodermic needles and heroin.

Fasano was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

She was issued appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Galen court at a later date to answer to her charges.
