Sodus man accused of passing fake $100 bill at local store

Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts reports the arrest of a Sodus man following an investigation into the passing of a counterfeit one hundred dollar bill.

Jeremiah J. Johnson, 37, was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. The arrest stems from an investigation into a counterfeit one hundred dollar bill being passed at the Market Place store in Sodus on January 30th.

Johnson was arraigned in the Village of Sodus Court and released on his own recognizance. He is to appear at the Village of Sodus court at a later date and time to answer the charges.
