State Police say the mayor of a Steuben County village has been charged following an incident that unfolded on Friday night.
Around midnight police responded to the Cohocton Development Corporation building — following the report of underage drinking.
Police found two teens who had been consuming alcohol. The duo were ages 14- and 19-years-old.
Cox was subsequently charged with unlawfully dealing with a child after allegedly providing that alcohol to the minors.
He was issued tickets to answer the charges at a later date.
