ORANGE MOVING ON: Syracuse pushes past TCU into round of 32 (full coverage)

Freshman Marek Dolezaj scored 17 points and added four rebounds to lead 11th-seeded Syracuse (22-13) in a 57-52 win over sixth-seeded TCU (21-12) Friday night in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

Freshman Oshae Brissett scored 13 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked three shots. Junior Paschal Chukwu finished with eight points, 10 rebounds and two blocks. Tyus Battle and Frank Howard made back-to-back floaters to give Syracuse a 54-49 lead with 1:27 to play. TCU was unable to pull any closer than four over the remainder of the game.

The Orange will face third-seeded Michigan State in the second round on Sunday at 2:40 p.m. on CBS.

11th-seeded Syracuse (21-13) meets sixth-seeded TCU (21-11) Friday night at 9:40 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. he Orange hold a 4-0 advantage in the all-time series over TCU. This is the first matchup between the two schools since 2005. The game will be televised on CBS. Fans can also listen to the game on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.

The winner will advance to play the winner of third-seeded Michigan State and 14th-seeded Bucknell on Sunday in the second round.
