Cayuga Community College approved an emergency management plan and policies on video security systems and investigating violent felonies Thursday.
The college’s board of trustees approved resolutions for accepting the college’s emergency management plan and policies on investigation of violent felony offenses and reports of missing students and video systems at a board meeting at the college’s Auburn campus.
The emergency plan involves a structure for responding to emergencies that includes national policies and requirements. The plan “includes procedures for addressing all known hazards that present a reasonable risk to the campus as well as a communication plan for the College that will promote an efficient response to any event,” the resolution said. There are separate plans for the Auburn and Fulton campuses. The plan goes into effect immediately.
