State Sen. Pam Helming is running for re-election — and she has the support of every Republican chair in her district.
Helming, R-Canandaigua, will seek a second term representing the 54th Senate District. The district includes all or parts of Cayuga, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Tompkins and Wayne counties.
She was first elected in 2016. She succeeded longtime state Sen. Michael Nozzolio.
"It has been an honor and privilege to represent the hardworking taxpayers of the Wayne-Finger Lakes region for the last year and a half," Helming said in a statement. "As state senator, I have worked to serve our communities and fight for the issues important to local families."
