The debate over a plan to redevelop Trinity Episcopal Church on South Main Street into an events center, inn and restaurant picks up again tonight at the city’s Zoning Board of Appeals meeting.
A public hearing on a use variance that would clear the way for the multi-million dollar redevelopment project will be held at 6 p.m. in the city Public Safety Building at 255 Exchange St.
The applicants are Trinity and the company interested in redeveloping the property, McGroarty Investments.
However, Neal Braman, the city’s development services manager, said the ZBA, which has declared itself the lead agency for the required State Environmental Quality Review, will not vote on the use-variance request. Instead, Braman said, there will be a short overview of the project, with the hearing to follow.
