A vacant home on Sheridan Street in Auburn was a total loss after a fire during the early-morning hours on Thursday.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 2:44 a.m. for a structure fire at 37 Sheridan Street. A neighbor call in the fire, according to first responders, who say that the second floor had already collapsed.

Crews called to the scene said no one was inside the home at the time fo the fire, and that no injuries were reported.
Firefighters battled the blaze from outside due to intensity. Officials in Auburn say the fire remains under investigation.
