Police: Penn Yan man faces over two dozen charges after string of larcenies

Penn Yan Police say an Elm Street resident was arrested for burglary after a string of larcenies and break ins within the village.

According to police, Dylan M. Force, 25, was charged with first-degree burglary, eight counts of grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and 17 counts of petit larceny after the string of incidents.

Police called it an extensive investigation, and once Force was identified as a suspect — the case moved along.

Officers located him leaving a friend’s residence on McKinley Avenue and took him into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

He’s being held at the Yates County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.
