Congressional Leader to Address Local Business Community

The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will host Congressman Tom Reed for a special legislative luncheon on Friday, May 4th at the del Lago Resort & Casino.

Admission to the event, which runs from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, is available to the general public through reserved seating only. Tickets are $30 per person and there is a $10 discount for current members of any Chamber of Commerce located in the congressional district.

“As the leading voice for business in our region, the Seneca County Chamber is pleased to help connect our stakeholders with important policy makers such as Congressman Reed,” said Jeff Shipley President & CEO of the Seneca County Chamber. “This forum will give local business leaders an opportunity to provide their input on decisions that are being made at a national level.”

Congressman Reed, a four-term incumbent representing New York’s 23rd Congressional District (serving parts of Western New York, the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes Region), is a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, which is responsible for addressing issues of tax policy, trade, health care and Social Security. In addition, he sits on the Trade, Health, and Human Resources subcommittees. He is also Co-Chair of the Congressional Diabetes Caucus, the House Manufacturing Caucus, and the Problem Solvers Caucus.
