Seneca Falls driver faces felony charges after accident on Stevenson St.

On Wednesday at 7:01 p.m. the police arrested a Seneca Falls woman after a property damage accident on Stevenson Street.

Sarah A. May, 28, of Seneca Falls was arrested after the incident on Stevenson Street. Police originally responded for a one vehicle crash where the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

Upon arrival police made contact with May who stated that she was the driver. While determining the cause of the accident, police determined that May was operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated.



Police say she had a previous driving while intoxicated conviction within the last ten years and was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated DWI, both felonies; as well as failure to keep right.

She was processed and arraigned in the Town of Tyre Court where she posted $1,000 cash bail.

May is due back in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on May 7th, 2018, at 5:30 p.m.

No injuries were sustained in the crash and the vehicle was towed from the scene, according to police.
