After less than an hour of deliberations, a Yates County jury convicted a local man on a felony drug charge during a trial.
District Attorney Todd Casella said Daniel Hall was found guilty of second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and fifth-degree conspiracy (misdemeanor) Wednesday.
Hall was arrested in November 2016 following an investigation by the state Department of Environmental Conservation, Department of Homeland Security, Yates County Sheriff’s Office and state police. Casella said the charges stemmed from Hall possessing 1½ pounds of marijuana.
“This was an excellent investigation and an example of interagency cooperation and police work at its finest,” Casella said in a press release.
