A new person will join the Canandaigua City School District Board of Education in July.
Current board member Thomas Reho is not seeking re-election and since only two people are running for two available seats, it’s likely Megan Personale, barring a significant number of write-in votes, will become a board member effective July 1.
John Polimeni, who has served on the board since 2006, is running for another five-year term.
Voters will cast their ballots statewide May 15 when they also will be deciding on their respective districts’ budget proposals for the 2018-19 year, which begins July 1.
Polimeni, who was first elected to the board in May 2016 to complete the remaining two years of a vacated term, is an attorney in private practice in Canandaigua, as well as broker and owner of Red Jacket Realty.
