Two Ithaca College students, one from Lansing, win Coca-Cola and Regal Films competition

Theater-goers preparing to watch summer blockbusters, such as those from Marvel Studios, may see a pre-film commercial made close to home.

"The Library," a promotion created by Ithaca College students Eva Kirie and Clara Montague, won the Coca-Cola and Regal Films Program.

Filmed at the Ithaca College Library and Regal Stadium 14 in Ithaca, “The Library” features a student studying in a library when he receives a notification about a new movie release on his phone, an Ithaca College press release stated. When he calls out to invite a friend to the movie, total strangers pop up inviting themselves along.

The commercial will screen in Regal Cinemas nationwide starting in May.

Winners of the competition were announced at the CinemaCon film convention in Las Vegas, where Kirie and Montague, of Lansing, were in attendance. Kirie and Montague are both first-year students in Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College.
