Yates Chamber plans annual dinner for June 2

The Yates County Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner returns to the local social calendar June 2 with an upscale barbecue in the pavilion at Climbing Bines Hop Farm and Brewery overlooking Seneca Lake south of Dresden.

Chamber of Commerce CEO Jessica Bacher says plans for the evening are coming together, with a full bar and wine in addition to the popular brewery’s craft beers. Dinner will be a barbecue catered by the Keuka Restaurant and will feature brisket, pork, and chicken.

The evening will include the traditional silent auction and a wine pull featuring selections donated by area wineries, followed by dinner, awards, and dancing.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

The Climbing Bines pavilion is an event space that can accomodate large groups in a comfortable, upscale, rustic setting. Located next door to the Climbing Bines brewery with views of the hop farm and Seneca Lake, the pavilion has become a popular spot for wedding receptions, reunions, and other gatherings.

The Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for its awards program that will occur during the evening’s activities. The Chamber will present the Snow and Seager Awards during the event, which is sponsored by Lyons National Bank.
