Man arrested after attempting to pass fake $100 bill in Ontario Co.

On May 17th at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers of the Canandaigua Police Department, arrested 21-year-old K’lon J. Reese for Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the First Degree.

It is alleged that on May 14th, 2018, Reese knowingly possessed a counterfeit $100.00 bill with intent to defraud a local business.



An astute employee at the local business identified that the $100 bill was counterfeit and refused the sale.

Reese remained at the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment on this charge.

Police say he was being held on an unrelated charge.
