The Canandaigua Police Department is investigating an incident involving the discovery of a skimming device at a gas station located on South Main Street.
Police say the device was located on Pump #1 at ‘A Plus Mini Mart’, which is located at 484 South Main Street.
Those who used that pump between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 20th — are at risk to have their credit or debit card information recorded by the device.
Those individuals should notify their banks or financial institutions to monitor the accounts for suspicious activity.
Police are asking anyone who might have used the gas pump, or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious during that time frame, to contact Detective Mastracy or Sergeant Lawrence of the Canandaigua City Police Department at (585) 337- 2183 or (585) 337-2106.
