The Sterling Nature Center held an annual outdoor festival with local musicians and artisan vendors to raise money to help protect an osprey habitat on Sunday.
For over 20 years "Inspiration: A Festival of Art & Nature" has been taking place at the nature center, director Jim D'Angelo said. When Sterling Nature Center was the newest nature center in Cayuga County, about 22 years ago, then director John Weeks — present at the festival this year — was the main leader with the inspiration for the event, said D'Angelo.
One of the goals of the festival is "inspiring people to come out and enjoy nature and experience it more," said D'Angelo.
Some of the vendors at the event shared the same passion as D'Angelo.
