The Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that Executive Director Tara Lynn plans to resign at the end of August to spend more time with her young, and growing, family.
The chamber is accepting applications to find a successor for Lynn, who has been with the chamber for four years, said Sandi Mulconry, the president of the chamber’s board of directors, in an email.
“It’s such a bittersweet move for me,” Lynn said in an interview Monday. “It was a really hard choice.”
Lynn said she’s not stepping away from her job this summer until she “absolutely needs to,” as she is expecting, with her fourth child due in September.
Lynn said she understands the phase her family is in now “is just so quick,” and she wants to spend more time with her children while they’re in these young years.
