An earthquake so small that it registered just barely on the United States Geological Survey monitor was reported Tuesday morning.
The 1.1 magnitude earthquake was reported approximately two miles northwest of Bear Creek in Ontario, Wayne County. It happened just after 9 a.m.
The earthquake was 3.1 miles below the Earth's surface.
No one reported feeling the tremor, as it was likely too small to be felt by anyone.
The Geological Survey does not release the names of people who report earthquakes, only their locations.
