ReFIND, a new artists studio at 17 Main St. in Penn Yan opened its doors May 16 to offer co-working, workshops, events, and select retail items for the Finger Lakes Region.
ReFIND is an open studio promoting the creative exchange of ideas. Behind the 1920s storefront and colorful window display, the studio is a flexible space that hosts their design consultancy and transforms from a co-working environment to a maker space for workshops and private events.
Co-owners Carrie Van Valkenburg and Claudia Milroy are designers who create visual concepts and experiences to communicate ideas intended to inspire, inform, and captivate. With the motto, “We do what we love — we listen, we inspire, we create, we refine,” their co-work space studio is a flexible workspace for the community, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and students to come together and share ideas. Daily, weekly, and monthly memberships are available.
Evenings and weekends, the studio is a place for hands-on learning and engaging experiences through instructor-led workshops. The flexible design of the space allows for a variety of activities and programing, including those focused on art, craft, and lifestyle.
ReFIND also has retail space, offering locally made and found items that showcase the Finger Lakes in creative and innovative ways such as jewelry, soaps, and art.
