Deputies: Galen man threw hammer at woman’s car, shattering windshield

On Monday at approximately 5:58 pm deputies arrested a Galen man following a domestic incident.

Kenneth L. Downey, 61, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree reckless endangerment after allegedly throwing a hammer at his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle as she attempted to leave.



The violent incident took place following a domestic incident, according to deputies.

The windshield was shattered, according to authorities, who say that Downey was arraigned and remanded to the Wayne County Jail.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
