North Rose teen sent to Strong after vehicle collides with tree in Sodus

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation into a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Robinson Road in the Town of Sodus.

The accident happened when a pickup truck being operated by 19-year-old Samuel J. Jones of State Route 14 in North Rose lost control of the vehicle, which was headed south on the roadway.

The vehicle left the road and went down an embankment striking a tree, according to deputies.

Jones was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the collision remains active.

Deputies were assisted on scene by Sodus Town Fire and Ambulance along with Medic 83.
