Police: Two arrests made in connection to commercial burglary in Ithaca

On June 9th police responded to a commercial business in the 400 block of Franklin Street regarding a burglary that occurred overnight.

Officers determined that a rock was thrown through the window and multiple electronics and other items were stolen from within the store. The cost of replacing the stolen items and repairing the damage to the store totaled approximately $4,200.

Investigative efforts determined that Matthew Booker and Maurice Marshall were the suspects in this incident.



On June 22nd IPD officers located Marshall. He was secured in police custody and transported him to IPDHQ for booking. Marshall was charged with one count of Burglary in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony.

Marshall was arraigned in Ithaca City Court where he was released on his own recognizance.

On June 26th IPD officers located Booker. He was secured in police custody and transported him to IPDHQ for booking.

Booker was charged with two counts of Burglary in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony. Booker was arraigned in Ithaca City Court where he was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $4,000 cash bail or $8,000 bond.
