The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a Richmond resident was killed in an accident near Flagstaff, Arizona around 3:30 am.
The accident happened on Interstate 40 when Jatinder Singh, 23, of Richmond was driving and drifted to the left, before over-correcting – causing his tractor-trailer to roll onto its side.
As result of the accident, Singh was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was the second crash that morning in the area, which caused major traffic delays on I-40.
Authorities say the tractor-trailer took out 200 feet of guardrail, and a passenger in the truck was transported to an area hospital.
