Police: Seneca Falls man ejected from vehicle, airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital

On Thursday, July 9th at 11:54 am the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department investigated a two-vehicle personal injury accident at the intersection of Ovid and Bridge streets.

Daniel A. Brotherton, 37, of Seneca Falls was traveling east through the intersection of Ovid Street and Bridge Street when a vehicle operated by James N. Harmon, 73, of Pennsylvania collided with Brotherton’s vehicle.

Brotherton was reported to have been ejected from his vehicle and then struck by his own vehicle. He sustained multiple injuries to his back, chest and legs.

Police say Brotherton was transported via Mercy Flight helicopter to Strong Memorial Hospital.

Harmon and his passenger, Elaine A. Harmon, reported chest pains as a result of the accident.

Both persons were transported to Geneva General Hospital via North Seneca Ambulance.

Both vehicles suffered extensive front end damage and were towed from the scene.

The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Seneca Falls Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance.
