Annual Skaneateles antique boat show turning 40

It’s not as old as many of the 80 or so boats it’ll feature this year, but the annual Antique and Classic Boat Show in Skaneateles is getting up there in age.

The 40th annual show will take place this weekend in the lakeside village’s Clift Park area. Hours are 3 p.m. to dusk Friday, July 27, 9 a.m. to dusk Saturday, July 28, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 29.

Among the boats on display will be mahogany runabouts made in the early 1900s by Chris-Chrift, Hacker and Gar Wood, as well as sailboats, canoes, race boats and more. Other highlights of the weekend will include:

– Live music by the Skaneateles Community Band from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, the Diana Jacobs Band from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and the Soda Ash Six from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday
