After the Syracuse Orange finished last in the ACC preseason media voting for the Atlantic Division (and overall), it should come as no surprise that SU didn’t have many names on the All-ACC preseason team, either.
Punter Sterling Hofrichter was the lone Syracuse player named this year, leading the way at his position with 33 vote (indicating that voters were split despite Hof being as good as he is).
While there isn’t a full voter breakdown by position, Eric Dungey did get one vote for ACC Player of the Year. Though you can write that off as a homer vote if you’d like, the Orange quarterback did finish second in total yards per game in the ACC last year. Should the senior finally complete a full season, he could certainly be in the running for the award (especially if SU is in bowl contention).
