Deputies say a Lyons woman was arrested following two separate investigations into abuse and mistreatment of children.
Tamila S. Jackson-Kemp, 25, of Lyons, was arrested after an investigation was initiated by Wayne County Child Protective Services. She was charged with two counts of falsely reporting an incident in the third degree.
It is alleged that on February 26th, 2016, and June 14th, 2018, she called in a report to the New York State Child Abuse Hotline that a child was being abused and mistreated.
When Caseworkers called to follow-up with Tamila, she told two different caseworkers that the allegations were made up in the “heat of the moment.”
It was later confirmed through investigation that the claims of abuse and mistreatment of the child were false.
She was arrested and released to appear in the Lyons Town Court on August 28th, 2018, to answer the charges.
