Sheriff’s office investigating possible armed robbery at Aurelius farm

The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that occurred Tuesday morning at a dairy farm in Aurelius.

Employees at O’Hara Farms on Chamberlain Road were robbed at around 10 a.m., according to Cayuga County 911 dispatch. Initial reports indicated the assailants, a large black male and a white female with tattoos on her arms, were armed at the time of the robbery and were driving a white SUV. A third person was possibly involved.

Detective Lt. Brian Schenck could not confirm the description of the alleged suspects, nor could he confirmed if they were armed. He did confirm that sheriff’s deputies are searching for a white SUV at this time. Schenck did not say what was stolen from the victims, but said employees at the farm were targeted.
