Canandaigua woman charged with DWI after report of ‘family trouble’

Deputies say a 50-year-old Canandaigua woman was charged with DWI after a call for ‘family trouble’ on Tuesday.

Around 2:10 am deputies responded to Arnold Road in Canandaigua for the report of family trouble. Upon investigation it was determined that Julie L. Elder, 50, drove to the location while in an intoxicated state.

She was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued traffic tickets for DWI, aggravated DWI, and having a BAC of 0.18 percent or higher.

She was released to a third-party and will appear in Canandaigua Town Court to answer the charges at a later date.
