The Arc of Yates Board of Directors announces that the Agency has entered into an agreement with Arc of Seneca Cayuga for the services of Executive Director, Allen Connely effective Aug. 7.
Board Chair Michele Howland noted, “We are fortunate to bring Mr. Connely into the Arc of Yates community. Our agreement with the Arc of Seneca Cayuga to share his vision and leadership is an ideal strategy to strengthen and broaden the scope of services we provide.”
Connely began his professional career in the international business arena where he held senior management roles for the Amway Corporation. Having worked in over 20 countries, upon his return to the U.S., Connely began his own company, supplying quality assurance inspection services to the automotive industry. Prior to his current role, he served as the Executive Vice President of Keystone Independence Management, a Pennsylvania-based, non-profit organization that offers management and leadership services to non-profit organizations. While at Keystone, he was responsible for ensuring sustainability of non-profit organizations as well as providing jobs for the people they support.
A statement released by The Arc states, “During his tenure at Arc of Seneca Cayuga, he has proven to be a dynamic, innovative leader who demonstrates compassion for the individuals served by the Agency.”
As Executive Director of the Arc of Yates, Connely will oversee an agency with a $10 million budget and a staff of 175+ employees who are committed to providing opportunities to persons with intellectual and development disabilities.
