Palmyra woman charged with DWI in Seneca Falls

On Sunday around 12:25 am police arrested a Palmyra woman following a traffic stop on River Road.

The Seneca Falls Police Department reports that Ashley H. Compton, 27, of Palmyra was arrested after receiving a 911 call from a civilian reporting that another vehicle was swerving all over the road.

Police located the vehicle traveling on River Road and observed the vehicle fail to keep right, crossing the center double solid line. The vehicle also left the paved portion of the roadway.

During the traffic stop, Compton was found to be operating while intoxicated. She was charged with failing to keep right, crossing hazard markings, unlawful possession of marijuana, driving while intoxicated, and driving with 0.08 percent or more BAC.

She was processed and released with an appearance ticket. The charges will be answered at a later date.
