Auburn teen enter guilty plea involving elderly man

A 19-year-old Auburn man is facing jail time after pleading guilty to robbing an elderly man earlier this summer.

The Citizen reports Shane Andrews pleaded guilty on Wednesday to attempted robbery.

In court, Andrews admitted to pulling out a knife on the man outside the Boyle Center on Genesee Street on June 30th.

Police say Andrews did not get the man’s wallet but did grab his car keys.

Andrews faces as much as four years in prison. Sentencing has been scheduled for October 16th.
