Police: Seneca Falls man charged after 2017 accident

One man was charged after a lengthy investigation into a 2017 car accident in Seneca Falls.

On August 18 at 12:44 am the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Steven J. Sinicropi, 62, of Seneca Falls following an accident investigation that occurred in September 2017.

Sinicropi was involved in a one-vehicle motor vehicle hit-and-run crash on Bridge Street. He and his vehicle were located on Cayuga Street, the vehicle was totaled.

It was believed that Sinicropi was operating the motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and drugs. As part of the investigation, a blood sample was secured and sent to the Monroe County Crime Laboratory in Rochester, New York.

Upon receipt of the results of the blood test, police charged Sinicropi with the following charges; Leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving while intoxicated, and driving with a combination of alcohol and drugs.

He was processed and released on traffic tickets.
