The Victor Senior High School has a new assistant principal.
Karl Dubash replaces Brian Siesto, who recently accepted the principal post vacated by Yvonne O’Shea, who retired earlier this month. The Board of Education on Aug. 16 appointed Dubash to the position.
Dubash comes to Victor from the Brockport Central School District, where he was the assistant principal at the A.D. Oliver Middle School since 2017. He was responsible for overseeing the mathematics, social studies, physical education and special areas departments in that role. He also worked with sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade math professional learning communities while engaging in data-driven instruction; and worked collaboratively with the building instructional coach in planning and delivering professional development.
Before becoming the assistant principal at A.D. Oliver Middle School, Dubash was the interim assistant principal at Sperry High School in the Rush-Henrietta district (November 2016), a summer school assistant principal for the Rush-Henrietta district (summer 2016) and a mathematics teacher for the Rush-Henrietta Senior High School from 2005 to 2017.
In addition, Dubash was a science and technology entry program math coach at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2015 and a Nova Academy mathematics instructor for RIT from 2008 to 2015.
Dubash also had his first student teaching experience in Victor in spring 2005.
