Seven people injured after crash in Elbridge

Seven people were sent to the hospital after a serious head-on crash Thursday evening, according to State Police.

A large emergency response was utilized in rural Onondaga County after two vehicles collided on Route 321 near The Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery.

State Police say a 2018 Chevrolet Cruz, operated by Jerry L. Sankey, 74, of Auburn was traveling west on Route 321 when he crossed over into the eastbound lane striking a 2015 Chevrolet Impala head-on. The driver of the Impala, Jonathan W. Gosson, 44, of Camillus was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse with non-life threatening injuries. Four passengers inside the Impala, including a 44-year-old female, 19 year-old male, 14-year-old male, and a 13-year-old female were all transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

A passenger in the Cruz, Katherine Sankey, 73, was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, according to State Police.
