Accommodation can be one of the most expensive things while travelling, after flights. You can start your search for where you are going to be staying by going online. A great way of doing this would be to search for terms such as cheap hotels in London, cheap hotels in Bali etc. This will also allow you to compare prices and help you to narrow down your results much quicker. If you are not looking for hotels, there are many different options for where you can stay such as renting a room or even staying in a hostel. Sometimes staying in these places allows you to make some great friends or even befriend the locals.

Eating abroad

Food and drink can be expensive. This can be especially true for when you are in a tourist dense area. It would be advised that you stay away from these tourist areas and opt to go off the beaten track. Choosing to go down this route will also save you money. While the tourist areas can be beautiful and a hub of entertainment, opting for local is cheaper. Not only is it cheaper but you can find some exquisite hidden gems. Choosing to eat and drink in the local areas will help you to have a fully immersive experience.

So, while travelling can be a very expensive time in your life there are some ways in which you can still save money. So, don’t be put off from your dreams of travelling and book that flight.
