Lyons man charged with DWI after traffic stop in town

Deputies say that a 55-year-old Lyons resident was arrested for driving while intoxicated after being observed having non-functional license plate lights.

William M. Bona, of Lyons was traveling north on Leach Road when investigation determined that he was intoxicated, and possessed marijuana. He was found to have a BAC of 0.12 percent and was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing.

He was issued tickets for driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana, and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
