FLX FORECAST: Mugginess remains temporarily, then active weather pattern sets up

Change is in the air.

While parts of the Southern Tier saw serious rainfall – upwards of 4 inches in some places, which prompted closures of schools and roadways – the Finger Lakes escaped any serious issues as Florence passed through.

FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil says an active pattern is setting up, which will prompt some changes in the next 10-days.

Temperatures will get more comfortable on Tuesday and Wednesday, as the mugginess departs – but things will heat up again on Thursday and Friday – as summer officially comes to an end.

More thunderstorms and showers will be possible on Friday and Sunday – as systems line up and clip the region, according to Montreuil.
