State Police: Geneva man resisted arrest, possessed handgun during large disturbance downtown

State Police say a 20-year-old Geneva man was arrested after a handgun was shown during a large disturbance in downtown Geneva.

On September 21st police arrested Ravaugn Robinson, 20, of Geneva on multiple charges – including criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration.

Troopers were called to assist the Geneva Police Department with a large disturbance – where a handgun had been displayed.



Troopers located Robinson hiding behind a wall on Linden Street as well as a loaded .45 caliber handgun.

Once the gun was located, Robinson fled, according to police, who say that he was then located hiding in a dumpster on Exchange Street.

He was processed at headquarters in Canandaigua and remanded to the Ontario County Jail.
