Liquid manure leak slows morning traffic in Geneva

A truck hauling liquid manure through Geneva on Tuesday morning spilled some of its load, slowing traffic.

Ontario County Sheriff Phillip Povero said calls initially came in around 7:30 a.m. for the report of the leakage.

This happened on Rts. 5&20 in the town and city of Geneva.

Geneva City Police were called in to help, along with a front loader to help clean up some of the manure that was being washed out by the rain.

There were no injuries.

The spill remains under investigation. As of now, no tickets or charges are expected to be filed.
