Hobart College sophomore and Romulus high graduate Daniel Lerch finished second in the Nazareth Invitational this weekend. The 36-hole tournament was played at Monroe Golf Club and Irondequoit Country Club.
Lerch opened the weekend with a 75 at Monroe, four over par and just one stroke off the lead. He closed the tournament with a six-over 78 at Irondequoit. It wasn’t enough to keep pace with Oswego’s Sean Paul Owens, who used rounds of 74 and a one-under 71 to take individual medalist honors. However, Lerch finished one shot ahead of Nazareth’s Bryce Dorough and St. Lawrence’s William Wilson, who tied for third place. Read More
