Teen charged with making terroristic threat against school in Seneca Falls

SFCSD Superintendent Bob McKeveny said on Tuesday in a voicemail to parents that the situation was addressed quickly and decisively by school administration and law enforcement.

Police have given an update on the terroristic threat that was made at Mynderse Academy earlier in the week.

The incident happened on Tuesday, when a 14-year-old, who was not identified – was charged with making a terroristic threat after a non-credible threat was investigated by authorities at the school.

The charge is a felony, but police say the teen made threats of violence against the high school.

Police worked collaboratively with school officials to identify witnesses and secure statements. Through the course of the police investigation, it was determined there was no credible threat to the safety and security to the students and school personnel, according to investigators.

At the conclusion of the investigation, the teen was charged and petitioned to family court.
